A veteran in the field of market research with over 15 years of experience in business development and senior management positions, Keat Long is also currently the managing director of Oppotus, a prominent market research firm in Malaysia.
As one of the advisers for Cause Effect, Keat Long utilises his knowledge and understanding as the market research specialist of the team to help the others create strategies that best fit our clients and their target markets, supplying us with the data that we need to make informed decisions that will yield maximum results.
Deepak is a thoroughly experienced Digital Marketer who has spent the last 7 years working across multiple digital marketing channels, from SEO, to strategising, to hands-on experience.
He first started off as a SEO/SEM analyst, working his way up and sharpening his knowledge over several years before eventually becoming the Head of Performance at a performance marketing agency.
He has played a pivotal role for countless campaigns, providing clients with actionable insights and helping them make significant improvements to their performance and conversions.
The strategies and campaigns he has managed in the past include Facebook advertising, Instagram advertising, Google paid searches, affiliate marketing, programmatic buying (DoubleClick), DSPs, Ad networks and CRM / EDM.
A highly skilled and experienced full stack developer who is capable in the areas of server administration, mobile app development, web development, and social media technologies.
Jermaine is currently the technology lead of an integrated digital agency and has a stellar history of working in the public relations and communications industry, with past clients including Intel, Microsoft, Shiseido, Marina Bay Sands, Lenovo, Prudential, Tesco, and more.
Throughout his career, Jermaine has had extensive experience with a wide range of technologies and projects ranging from mobile apps to RFID and parking systems, making him perfectly suited as an adviser for clients requiring digital solutions.
Victor first found his true calling in digital marketing by managing campaigns as part of Citibank’s digital team. Later in his career, he founded Effective Advisory Sdn Bhd, a digital agency that would eventually be known as Cause Effect, where he served as CEO until December 2017.
Whilst at Effective Advisory, Victor managed a 30 man operation catering to clients such as BluInc, The Rakyat Post, KLIA Express, Parkson, Berjaya Corp and Appco Group. With the foresight to enter the digital marketing industry before the trend hit, he has spent over 6 years building up his digital know-how and establishing long-lasting connections in the industry.

The director and majority shareholder of Cause Effect. Keat is a born entrepreneur who is constantly pushing the envelope for success and innovation at Cause Effect. He first established himself as an immense success in the financial industry with Hong Leong Assurance before going on to start several businesses ranging from financial services to F&B, which eventually lead him to develop Cause Effect into the progressive, envelope pushing agency that it is today.
Keat serves as a digital strategist at Cause Effect, formulating analysis and marketing strategy for clients, constantly seeking ways for businesses to make the absolute most out of their assets.
Hailing from the tech start-up scene, Johnson made his name through a number of successful projects, including the development of the biggest reading application in Malaysia which reached over 800,000 readers and was valued at a whopping RM 10 million, while raising RM 3 million worth of investments in the process.
As the head of operations at Cause Effect, Johnson uses his extensive knowledge of performance marketing and consumer engagement to craft and execute tailor made strategies for clients to reach entirely new dimensions of success for their business.
Since his early days working in finance, Sheng has gathered a vast bank of experience and knowledge of various aspects of the business world which he utilises as the head of strategic planning at Cause Effect.
Sheng’s expertise in the areas of business development, strategic planning and digital marketing allow him to identify the needs of different businesses and come up with strategies that are perfectly suited for each individual client to take their consumer engagement and revenues to the next level.
